Message from the Director
Welcome to the Florida Tech graduate center at the Patuxent Naval Air Station. Our graduate degree programs are quite broadly based to assist with your career and professional development. We offer 11 graduate degree programs at the master’s level in the following areas:
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Acquisition and Contract Management
- Aerospace Engineering
- Computer Science
- Management Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Engineering Management
- Computer Information Systems
- Project Management
As a new student, you can enroll in one course in your first semester before completing the application process. Under this option, you can be taking one graduate course in your area of interest while your application for admission is being processed.
Florida Tech has been offering graduate degree programs at Patuxent Naval Air Station to military and civilian personnel since 1972. Classes are offered face-to-face in the classroom on the Naval Base, and in Web-based distance learning formats. This provides you with more flexibility as you plan for your career and professional development.

Welcome to the Patuxent Extended Studies site.
The Patuxent River site of Florida Institute of Technology has offered graduate education in the southern Maryland area since 1972. Alumni from the Patuxent site number over 1600 graduates to-date.
Florida Tech at Patuxent serves students and faculty from its administrative office located outside of Gate 2 at 21803 A Three Notch Road. Classes are held inside the Patuxent River Naval Air Station at the Frank Knox Building. Our administrative office can be reached at (301) 862-1004
This Florida Tech off-campus location offers the benefits of a large university with the comforts of a small campus setting. Staff and instructors are committed to providing an ideal environment for working professionals to obtain a master's degree at one of the nation's top universities.
